Meet Miss Patches She is a Calico that we bought in Canada while on vacation the Summer of 1991. She was in a cage with lots of other kittens at an outside market we went to, and she was clearly the cutest. I had never had a cat (nor wanted one!), and my husband talked me into it. I said if my allergies got bad, we wouldn't be able to keep her. I started giving her baths as soon as we got her, I found out I DID like cats, and I've been fine. This is the cat that started it all--now I love cats, can you tell? We always say, "that was the best $5.00 we ever spent!" She is the oldest of our cats and was less than pleased to see the new arrivals, but she is adjusting, finally. She's back to spending time with "the family" and sitting on my lap and begging for my dinner scraps--it's nice to see her getting back to her old self. |
